Biography
Born in 1965 in Cienfuegos, Cuba, Isidro Llano initially pursued a career in law, studying and practicing as a defense attorney for five years. At the age of 30, he redirected his life toward the arts, beginning a formal artistic journey that would define his creative voice. He studied art and sculpture under the mentorship of Abdala Touza, Adela J., and Sarduy.

Isidro Llano is a multidisciplinary artist who first trained as a sculptor and later expanded his artistic language to include drawing, painting, and literature. His work reflects a continuous exploration of form, concept, and human expression across multiple media.

Llano’s artistic vision is grounded in the belief that the human species is both unique and extraordinary, enriched by the immeasurable wealth of its diversity. He understands humanity as a vast and interconnected tapestry of races and cultures—beautiful and intelligent in equal measure—spread across the globe yet united by a single, fundamental purpose: the survival and flourishing of the species.
